I have been doing some thinking about the Christian life, in relationship to discontentment, contentment, pride and financial blessings. My writing this blog entry this morning, is not in any way intended to bring condemnation or sorrow. It is simply part of my personal reflections on life and I just wanted to share my heart with my friends from around the world. C. S. Lewis once wrote, "Pride is a spiritual Cancer: It eats up the very possibility of love, or contentment, or even common sense."
Is the current state of affairs in America an indication of people’s heart condition? Or is money, employment or the economy the answer to the problems facing the American family system?
My friends, pride, discontentment, and greed are destroying marriages, families, our churches and our society. These spiritual maladies are the arsenals being used by satan to destroy the future of our children and their families including the Christian families in our churches. The family structure is being destroyed by these “Three Stooges.” I urge you to pray for Christian family and pray for marriages in the Body of Christ!
Next week, I will begin a series of blogs or teachings on how to be set free from greed and discontent. I will also include some biblical principles on how to cultivate a heart of contentment. In the mean time, please pray for me and I will pray for you as well!
