“For you see your calling, brethren, that not many
wise according to the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called. 27
But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to put to shame the wise,
and God has chosen the weak things of the world to put to shame the things
which are mighty; 28 and the base things of the world and the things which are
not, to bring to nothing the things that are, 29 that no flesh should glory in
His presence.” (1 Corinthians 1:26-29, NKJV)
Friends, God has a purpose for your life. I am
convinced that “No weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue
which rises against you in judgment you shall condemn. This is the heritage of
the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is from Me,” says the LORD” (Isaiah
54:17, NKJV). Your life is to be a witness of the power of God to fulfill His
plan on the earth. You are part of God’s strategic plan to reach the world for
His kingdom. You have been given the charge to walk in the will and the purpose
of God for your life. It is a humbling
thing to know that you and I have been chosen by God to represent Him around
the world.
Is your Christianity a private matter
only—personally comforting but culturally irrelevant? Are you touching lives
through your spheres of influence? As Christians, we are expected to be
witnesses for Christ. And as followers and disciples of Jesus the Christ, we
are challenged to be relevant, authentic and consistent in that witness. No
matter what you are going through remember that you are Christ’s epistles,
known and read by all men. As the Apostle Paul says “You show that you are a
letter from Christ, the result of our ministry, written not with ink but with
the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of human
hearts” (2 Corinthians 3:2-3, NIV). Love ones, you are significant in God’s
eyes, and He is counting on your obedience so that He can show Himself strong
in your life.
I encourage you to be ambassadors of Christ wherever
you are. Embrace God’s purposes today. Be the light that shines in a dark and
broken world. There are 7 billion people on this planet; someone is waiting to
see Christ through your life. I love you and I am praying for you. I hope that
you are praying for me as well. Grace and peace be multiplied to you!
